Take the next step and either allow voters to vote so their reps can know how to vote - or replace the reps and have the People decide directly. THAT is what federal, state and local governments should be doing with the Web. A whole new paradigm vs some trivial UI fixes....
In many situations it is important to use the terminology that is used my the locals, and not the "official" government language.
An example of this can be in a pull down menu for "country"... Although the official name name is "Republic of the Union of Myanmar" people know it as BURMA.
Im from Sweden but I follow nasa on twitter so why not submit my thoughts. A secure community where you can find info about everything you need. With diffrents groups or other applications so you can just like choose to follow or subscribe to the things the user wants to know more about. And like add a twitter flow with #gov. And it must be easy to interact with other users and the goverment.
