Our Government is "of the people, for the people, and by the people."
Forums like this show that our Government is truly interested in listening to US.
A major HIGH-FIVE to the team(s) and came up with and implemented this National Dialogue!
Based upon various web metrics and/or common citizen interactions... certain agency (or cooperate across agency) sites could create these lists. This could be more like creating a cross agency "check list" (with links) that would help citizens perform specific tasks- People could follow the steps by clicking the links and get their task done.... There are a number of sites that have made money by offering PDFs of Govt forms that are otherwise available for free.
If the government sites are improved so that it becomes easy to find these forms, then these guys can be put out of business.
In many situations it is important to use the terminology that is used my the locals, and not the "official" government language.
An example of this can be in a pull down menu for "country"... Although the official name name is "Republic of the Union of Myanmar" people know it as BURMA.
This is a cut/paste of a search result message (that was buried) on a HealthIT.hhs.gov site: Your Search Results: Showing 1-0 of 0 Products Found First of, it would be impossible to show 1 - 0 products when zero were found. Make sure that the error messages don’t blame the user, but provide useful advice on what caused the error and how to solve it.
For various reasons many of the current websites for government agencies do not support AJAX (or other RIA technology) and as a result have a poor user experience due to limited interactivity.
